Chris Dimond
Chris Dimond is a partner with over 35 years of experience as a landscape architect and urban designer with a rich diversity of project types, including recreation, urban-design; campus design; museums; civic parks; land-development; and golf-course design.
Chris’s work has been honored with 22 national awards and 54 regional, state, and local awards for design and planning excellence. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Institute of Urban Design. Chris has actively served in leadership positions in many national and regional organizations including the Landscape Architecture CEO Roundtable, and the Landscape Architecture Foundation (as president and board member). His ASLA leadership involvement has included serving on the National Executive Committee, the Board of Trustees, the Honors and Awards Committee, and four national design juries and chairing both the Professional and Student Award juries as well as the Fellows Jury. Recentprojects include Gateway Park, Oakland, California; Zidell Yards, Portland, Oregon; the Cleveland Clinic; Cuidad de Victoria, Manila; Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas; Blanton Museum, Austin; University of Texas at Dallas; UTSW Medical Center, Dallas; International Garden Exposition, Beijing; and high-rise residential developments in Taiwan.
Prior to his tenure with PWP, Chris served as the national chairman of Urban Design and Planning Services for HNTB Corporation. In this capacity he was responsible for the firm-wide leadership; management; and the strategic growth and development of the landscape-architecture, urban-design, and planning practice. Chris, who received a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia, has lectured at numerous colleges and universities.
